BMS KIT

Responsibility for the reprocessing of medical devices requests that all relevant processes are validated and routinely monitored. The monitoring of steam sterilisation processes should be combine parametric control and the use of a specific process challenge device with a chemical indicator (BMS). It monitors air removal and steam penetration within critical instruments. The BMS signals that sterilisation parameters have been achieved even within critical sterile goods by simulation.

Sterilisation Tapes, Indicators and Wrapping material

In full agreement with present running time when reliance appears to be highly essential, we have developed safety and efficient chemical indicators for different sterilization processes: Ethylene Oxide, Steam and Dry Heat.
Indicator tapes are used to fasten packaging, container and different sterilization wrapping materials. They can also be used to close envelopes, see-though flat reels and packages when a sealing machine it is not available. Printed with a high quality chemical indicator ink they show a notorious coulour change after being exposed to propper sterilization conditions. Therefore show the operator that the materials have been processed. Available for different sterilization processes: EO gas, Steam and Dry Heat.

Tyvek

The quality of see-through packaging made of Tyvek® and film is decisively determined by the choice of materials. Stericlin® only uses the strongest medical grade of Tyvek®: Type 1073 B with 75 g/m². Outstanding barrier properties against germs, bacteria and moisture, and also extremely high resistance to penetration and fibre-free peeling are particular characteristics of this sterile barrier system.

Tyvek® is a non-woven polyethylene fabric manufactured by DuPont. Tyvek® is not suitable for steam sterilisation, but fully compatible with the requirements of VH2O2 (plasma) sterilisation and irradiation. This sterile barrier system is also first choice for gas sterilisation, for Tyvek® hardly absorbs any toxic gases and thus results in residual toxic gas levels that are far below the legal limit values.

Surgical Draping

Surgical drapes are used to ensure sterile conditions during surgical procedures. They are used as an underlay and/or cover for the patient. Surgical drapes should always be at hand in order to avoid compromising the sterility of the surgical procedure. The drapes must be pliable and correct packing and folding logistics must be adhered to.

Wound dressing products

The barrier functions of a dressing may help reduce infection in moderate to heavily exuding partial and full thickness wounds including: pressure ulcers; venous ulcers; diabetic ulcers; donor sites; traumatic and surgical wounds.

Wound Dressings are a sterile, non-woven pad composed of high tensile strength alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and silver coated nylon fibers.

Algidex & Multidex

Multidex® Maltodextrin Wound Dressing

A hydrophilic Maltodextrin NF wound dressing clinically proven to promote the growth of granulation tissue and epithelial proliferation
Quickly fills wound site, rapidly mixing with exudate to form a protective coating that maintains an ideal moisture balance to protect against dehydration
Available as a powder for moist and wet wounds or as a gel for dry and minimally draining wounds
For use on all wound types, including infected hard-to-heal wounds
Specifically formulated to provide topical nutrients to wound sites, creating a natural healing environment
Non-toxic and not systemically absorbed
Controls odor while decreasing purulent exudate
Penetrates all wound irregularities to fill tunneling and undermining
Softens necrotic tissue to facilitate debridement
Primary dressing
INDICATIONS:   Venous stasis ulcers, Dermal ulcers, Partial and full thickness wounds, Arterial ulcers, Abdominal wounds, Infected wounds, Superfical wounds, Pressure ulcers, Dermal injuries, Second degree burns, Donor sites, Diabetic ulcers

Algidex Ag® Silver Alginate Wound Dressing

A major breakthrough in delivery of a proven antimicrobial that encompasses cost advantages
Unique combination of silver, alginate, and maltodextrin designed to create the optimal moist wound environment important to healing
Provides immediate and sustained antimicrobial activity against a broad spectrum of wound pathogens for up to seven days including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and E. Coli
Does not induce bacterial resistance
Excellent exudate management, helping reduce the risk of peri-wound maceration
Available with integrated foam backing for increased absorption and comfort
Aligidex paste or thin sheets for large surface areas or deep wounds
Silver is completely and evenly distributed in the ionic state
Does NOT require activation or the use of sterile distilled water
Longer wear-time for fewer dressing changes, resulting in cost savings
Easy application and removal
Will not adhere to wound upon removal
Non-staining
Non-irritating, latex free
Primary dressing
INDICATIONS:   Venous ulcers, Pressure ulcers, Dermal injuries, Second degree burns, Donor sites, Diabetic ulcers, Superficial wounds, Lacerations, cuts, and abrasions

Orthopedic

Orthopedics - also spelled orthopaedics - involves the treatment and prevention of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, which includes:

Bones - the hard living tissues that make up the body's skeleton (Read about "Skeletal System")
Joints - where the ends of two or more bones meet
Muscles - which produce motion by contractions
Ligaments - which connect the bones and keep joints stable
Tendons - which connect muscle to bone or other tissue
Nerves - bundles of fibers which transmit nervous impulses (Read about "Nervous System")

Angiograhic accessories

Angiographic products and accessories are used during virtually every peripheral vascular interventional procedure. These products permit interventional physicians to reach targeted locations within the vascular system to deliver contrast media for visualization purposes and therapeutic agents and devices, such as stents or PTA balloons. Angiographic products consist primarily of angiographic catheters, but also include entry needles and guidewires specifically designed for peripheral interventions and fluid management products.

Birth and Neonatal products

One of neonatal/perinatal medicine's major goals is to develop techniques that increase the survivability of newborns at risk from disease, congenital disorders, or abnormal conditions of birth. The development of these techniques and the products required to deliver them are the focus of this report from Medtech Insight.

Facial protection products

Although O.S.H.A. recommends that procedures involving blood and other potentially infectious materials be performed in such a manner as to minimize splashing, spraying, and splattering, it is often difficult to completely prevent the generation of droplets in the healthcare setting. Recognizing this, and the fact that the acute care setting can be a hazardous work environment, DeRoyal steps forward to present this line of Facial Fluid Protection Products to minimize exposure to pathogens from waste fluid. These products offer a unique combination of innovation, quality, value, and comfort for clinicians for whom personal protective equipment is a vital part of self-care as they care for others.

Laparascopic products

The laparoscope allows doctors to perform both minor and complex surgeries with a few small cuts in the abdomen. This technique is known as laparoscopic-assisted surgery.
Laparoscopy may also be done to diagnose a condition. In this case, the procedure is called diagnostic laparoscopy.
